HOW DOES FOREST BATHING WORK?

Forest bathing is a slow, sensual walk through nature, focusing on presence and deep connection to nature, ourselves, and the community around us. Through this practice, we seek to promote health and well-being, while strengthening our connection to the peace and wisdom of nature.

During the 2-3 hours we spend together in the forest, I guide you through a series of carefully designed exercises. These exercises aim to awaken your senses, allowing you to become more aware of the small details of your surroundings – the sound of the wind whispering through the trees, the smell of damp earth, or the feel of the sun on your skin. It’s about opening up to the presence of nature and making room to experience the magic of the moment.

After each sensory invitation, I give you the opportunity to explore nature on your own terms, at your own pace. This gives you the time and space to immerse yourself in the experience, whether you want to listen to the sounds of the forest, feel the bark of the trees, or just sit quietly and observe.

Between each invitation, we gather in a circle to share our experiences and impressions. These sharing rounds provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on our experiences and create a community with the other participants. By sharing our experiences, we strengthen the bonds we have with both nature and each other.

The forest bath ends with a simple but symbolic tea ceremony, where we enjoy a cup of forest tea made from local plants that reflect the nature we have just been a part of. This ending reinforces the feeling of calm and belonging to the surroundings, and provides a relaxing, harmonious end to the experience.

To participate in a forest bath you do not need any prior knowledge or special equipment. The most important thing is that you dress according to the weather and bring something to sit on, such as a seat pad or a blanket. In addition, it may be a good idea to bring something to drink and some snacks if you feel the need for it along the way. Forest bath is for everyone – regardless of physical fitness – who wants to slow down, rediscover nature's gifts and find peace in the moment.
